Ganamos!!!! ⚽️🎉😝

Yo fui al centro hoy para ver el partido en la Copa Mundial entre los ticos y Grecia y fue una experiencia inolvidable! Cuando Los Ticos ganaron todo la gente estaban en las calles y la fuente de la hispanidad.

I went downtown today to watch the World Cup match between Costa Rica and Greece and it was an unforgettable experience! When the Ticos won, all the people were in the streets and filling the Fuente de Hispanidad. 

El segundo día - orientación y el campus de UCR

Hoy fue la orientación academica. Esta mañana mis compañeros de casa y yo caminamos a la universidad y fue una mañana bella. El sol brillaba y hacía fresco. La caminata fue de casi 40 minutos pero eso no es demasiado, solamente si hay lluvia. La Universidad de Costa Rica es bellisíma. Nuestra guía fue una profesora para nuestra programa y ella nos dijó mucho del campus. Tomé muchas fotos de las plantas y los edificios alrededor del campus. Es tan diferente de las univerisdades en los EEUU y me gustó mucho. Estoy emocionada a empezar mis clases este lunes. Mañana voy al centro para ver el partido de Costa Rica contra Grecia en la Copa Mundial con unas otras personas del programa.


Today was the academic orientation. This morning my housemates and I walked to the University and it was a beautiful morning. The sun was shining and it was cool outside. The walk was about 40 minutes but that wasn't too much, only if it was raining. The University of Costa Rica is so beautiful. Our tour guide was one of the professors for our program and she told us a lot about the campus. I took a lot of pictures of the plants and buildings around the campus. It's very different than the universities in the states and I liked it a lot. I am excited to start my classes this Monday. Tomorrow I am going to go downtown to watch the match of Costa Rica vs. Greece in the World Cup with some other people from the program.

Necesito ajustar - I need to adjust

El viaje en total fue fácil. No había problemas. San José es 2 horas atrás de Nueva Jersey y por eso me desperté muy temprano aquí porque mi cuerpo piensa que es un poco más tarde que en realidad. Pero es solamente el primer día y la primera noche y yo tengo muchas días más para ajustarme 

In all, the whole trip was easy. There were no problems. San Jose is 2 hours behind NJ and because of that, I woke up much earlier than expected because my body doesn't realize the difference yet! But bit was only the first day and first night, so I have many more days to get adjusted! :-)

En el aeropuerto de Filadelfia. Primero tengo que ir a Houston y entonces voy a San José de Houston! 

In the Philadelphia airport. First I have to go to Houston and then I go to San Jose from Houston!
